SAFEGUARDING
Woodlands Church Family (WCF) takes our safeguarding responsibility seriously and is committed to ensuring a safe and welcoming church for all, especially children and young people.
Safeguarding in our churches is everyone’s responsibility. The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Trustees oversee the implementation of a Safeguarding Culture that permeates all that we do. Safer Recruitment, Safeguarding Training and Good Governance are essential elements of our culture, process and practice.
Our full legal responsibility and statutory duties are included in our Safeguarding Policy which works alongside our other policy documentation to ensure safeguarding is visible and vital to our process and procedures. Our Safeguarding Policy is available on request.
WCF has 8 sites (known as congregations) in the Bristol area.
Each congregation has a Congregational Safeguarding Lead (CSL) who is responsible for the management of and response to any safeguarding concern.
